Skills: Short-form video · Videography · Video editing · Pacing
A self-produced short-form travel vlog capturing a winter getaway to Blue Mountain, Ontario. Created for social media, the video distills a full day’s experience into a concise, mood-driven short that prioritises atmosphere over narration.
Concept & Planning
The edit follows a natural day-in-the-life arc — arrival through snowy landscapes, a late-morning brunch, exploring a local boutique, and ending with a local food recommendation. Rather than documenting every moment, the goal was to select scenes that together communicate the feeling of the trip: cosy, wintery, and unhurried. Each clip was chosen to carry a distinct sensory quality — visual texture of snow, warmth of food, the intimacy of a small shop.
Production
Shot and edited independently, with pacing and music chosen to reinforce the warm winter atmosphere. The short format required tight editorial decisions — every second needed to earn its place in the final cut.
