Food Photography — Livorno Restaurant

Skills: Commercial food photography · Brand styling · Colour grading · Adobe Lightroom · Nikon Z30

A self-initiated project creating menu-ready food photography for Livorno, a local Italian restaurant. The brief was to produce images suitable for print and digital menu use, with a consistent visual language that reinforces the restaurant’s brand identity.

Concept & Planning

To ensure the images would work cohesively as a menu set, I chose a consistent overhead angle across all dishes. Creating a clean, catalogue-style layout that allows each item to be presented on equal visual footing. Livorno’s branded paper wrap was intentionally incorporated into every frame as a prop, reinforcing brand recognition while adding a natural, on-table context to each shot.

Production

I executed the full shoot independently at the restaurant, using a Nikon Z30 and available natural light. Post-production was completed in Adobe Lightroom, with colour grading focused on enhancing the warmth and vibrancy of each dish while maintaining a consistent tone.
